About GoHusky

Learn about GoHusky in less than 5 minutes, or maybe more!

What is GoHusky?

GoHusky is a project management and software development strategy framework for the practical user.

You may have previously heard about other well-structured project management strategies, like Agile, Extreme Programming, Lean or Waterfall. Forget all of those! Or better yet, use them to your best advantage together with GoHusky. GoHusky won't tell you how to manage your daily Scrum meetings - they all end up in absolute chaos regardless - GoHusky will instead be your inspiration in managing the chaos. Or it will be just an interesting topic for you to bring up during those boring stand-up meetings. You decide. You are no longer the scrum master, you are now the pack leader!

GoHusky is inspired by the most realistic and holistic approaches to sofware development. You may have heard of some of them, such as the Cardboard Cutout Dog, eXtreme Go Horse, or The Grug Brained Developer. They were all very important in the creation of the GoHusky methodology as they depict real problems - by real people. And you will now learn to solve them like a good boy. Woof!

How do I get started?

That's the neat part: You don't! You are already applying GoHusky! What you are also doing is forcing yourself to apply a number of other so called "strategies" suggested to you by ancient pieces of literature like PMBOK. I don't know, but I would prefer to evaluate my surroundings and decide on the best strategy rather than trust a book named after some african deer... GoHusky is all about choosing the best course given any bad situation, and since you're either a developer or a project manager or both, you will get plenty of those!

Here are some topics to get you started:

On a more serious note...

GoHusky is not to be actually taken seriously. It will be the death of me if someone were actually crazy enough to teach GoHusky at a lecture, university class, team building event, or even worse, if someone invites me to talk at about it at some conference or whatever. Please do not use this as an example for anything, even if as a bad example! Do not share, do not engage in conversations with your co-workers about how GoHusky is awesome and how fluffy your pack is - in fact, read it, learn from it, and keep it to yourself.

Most people will tell you that silence is golden, but not if you are a husky... In that case silence is just suspicious.

🐺?

Woof.
